Walks along the West Pentire Headland

Updated: May 14, 2021

If you fancy a reasonably easy walk with stunning views, we can certainly recommend walking along the Headland of the West Pentire coastline.

Come out of the holiday and park and turn right and then right again towards Crantock Village.

At the bottom of the road, turn left towards the West Pentire rather than the village.

Follow the road along until you see the Bowgie Inn.

Turn left towards Polly Joke Car Park which is a good place to leave your car.

Walk out the car park and turn left and follow the footpath through the gate.

Continue on the path until you see a wooden signpost saying coast path to Crantock beach.

When you get to the end, you could turn left and have stunning views of Crantock beach from above,

or you can turn right and take an easier path around the headland which eventually overlooks Polly Joke beach and does a full circle back to where you started. The whole walk takes about 30-45 minutes but on a clear day the scenes are breathtaking. In the summer months you get lovely pink and yellow flowers which make the whole scene very beautiful.

This is a definite must if you want to take some good ariel photos of the local beaches and make all your friends a bit jealous!
