Kynance Cove and Lizard Point

Updated: Jul 12, 2021

We went to Kynance Cove for the first time this year and it did not disappoint. It is an hour away from the caravan but it is very much worth a day trip - especially if you have never been and it's sunny weather. It's dog friendly and you will need trainers or good walking shoes. It would be harder to walk down to the beach if you have a buggy or mobility issues but you could still get nice views from the top of the cliff without much walking.

Please note that during the summer months Kynance can get very busy and the National Trust car park is often full before 11am, (members park free). We recommend arriving early and at low tide to avoid disappointment.

You can walk along the coastal line to Lizard Point or drive there in a few minutes, head for the National Trust Car park (Members park free). Lizard point is England's most southerly point and it's a very pretty walk down the path to the old Lifeboat station at the bottom. If the tide is out, there is a little stony beach too. A few cafes to get an ice cream and its dog friendly too.
