A great day out or half a day out is to venture to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, which is near Megavissey. If you combine both places on one day, you will have a wonderful time.
The Lost Gardens is a lovely place to walk, especially in springtime or summer and see the lovely blossom trees and flowers. There is a great park there for kids and also a jungle area with a rope bridge crossing a small lake. Our three children certainly love coming here.
You will need a dry day for this trip as it's mainly outside, although there is a lovely cafe if it rains.
