We have three children under age ten, so we have been investigating things to do with kids in area local to the holiday park....
On Trevella Holiday Park:
There are two lovely play parks at Trevella which my kids have enjoyed playing on, and it feels like a nice and safe environment for them to play. The parks are situated in different places, so the chances are you won't be too far away from one of them.
There is also a chance to play mini golf on site and that's a low key and fun thing to do on site.
My kids love wandering round the two fishing lakes and watching the ducks - it's lovely and peaceful around there.
And of course there is the heated outdoor swimming pool which is often fairly empty while most people are out at the beach.
There are quite a few fun things to do with younger children and all of them are located very near the holiday park:
Newquay Aquarium
If your kids are under 8, they might really enjoy Newquay Aquarium. Its located right on the beach front near the brightly coloured beach huts, which was a fun location. It is fairly small but the perfect size for smaller kids, and your ticket is valid for the whole day so you could go round again later in the day if you wanted to. There was a great overhead tunnel full of brighly coloured fish, and my kids loved the small sharks and the Giant turtle. It wasn't the cheapest of activities, but definitely a holiday treat. Newquay Zoo
Again, this is not the biggest zoo in the world but perfect for children aged 8 or under. The highlights for my kids were the lions, tigers, penguins and monkeys, but they also enjoyed the play parks that were there. It takes 1-2 hours to go around. Have a look at their website here.
Lappa Valley
Lappa Valley is a fun nostalgic mini steam train ride and there is a huge outdoor play area. its a good afternoon trip out for children 8 and under. Have a look at their website here
Dairyland
